DEORUM (translating to The Gods) is a traditional warrior cat roleplay featuring the original four clans. The original storyline is followed closely up until the series Omen Of The Stars, in which the plot-line diverges allowing users to create their own tale from the warrior universe.
We are a semi-literate forum with a low word count to ensure all levels of players can participate. We have no character limit and employ an optional but simple die rolling mechanic to ensure variability with roleplay.
With a frustrated hiss, Hawkstar forced himself to limp to the medicine cat's den. What a small nuisance to bring down a leader! Two sunrises ago, he had gone hunting with Hailpaw and Frostpaw, only to accidentally pick up a thorn in his back paw.
Yet two sunrises later, it was still stuck there. What was he, an apprentice? The tabby would think that a more experienced warrior like himself knew how to deal with thorns and splinters at this point. He had tried in vain to get it out, hoping such a stupid complaint didn't land him in the medicine cat's den, but alas it did. It now stung to put weight on it, and he couldn't have himself limping around his own patrols like an elder.
He certainly didn't want to seem incompetent in front of Sagefrost and Nemesiashine.
"Lambflower?" he called into the medicine cat's den. "A bit of your time, if you have it."
He knew Lambflower probably dealt with thorns in pawpads all the time, but the handsome medicine cat intimidated him nonetheless. After a self-conscious shake of his fur, Hawkstar lifted his back right leg, revealing an oozing wound where he had attempted to dislodge the thorn. Slightly nervous and embarrassed about the ordeal, he ducked his head at the sight of Lambflower and added, "Sorry, it's probably nothing, but I'm no medicine cat and it's becoming a nuisance. Maybe you could help?"
He was glad that Guppypaw was nowhere in sight. No point in having the young apprentice witness his clumsy injuries.
[attr="class","khaltable"] Hawkstar was like a dangerous temptation. He oozed the same auras as Condorstar. Mischievous, secretive, formidable Maybe even threatening. However for some strange reason, Lambflower found himself drawn to these toms. He basked in their dark, mysterious energies and longed to be closer with them. However; Lambflower did not like Hawkstar. But, that did not mean he didn't find him absolutely beautiful. And, admittedly; Lambflower was beginning to see habit in his interactions with Hawkstar...The tabby was often vulnerable in their encounters. It wasn't so much a turn on, but rather amusing...The cat that Lambflower had often thought to be indestructible, was clearly not.
Lambflower was busy sorting herbs when the leader stepped inside the medicine cat den. Lambflower immediately welcomed him in. He would never turn anyone away - especially not Hawkstar, "Certainly." The fluffy healer held the leader in his gaze for a few moments, absorbing his soft blue eyes and dark colored pelt. The tom then slid his gaze down to the leader's back paw, as he revealed it. Lambflower; being an experienced medicine cat, could tell Hawkstar felt a little nervous and maybe even uncomfortable. What an interesting thought.
The healer brushed past the leader slightly, so that he could get a closer peak at the troubled paw. He studied it, nodding slowly as he confirmed some things silently. "Take a seat - relax," he said as he motioned towards some free space near the entrance. "It looks like it is deeply wedged in there... And oozing too...Perhaps a good thing you came when you did. Although small, these little things can often get infected." Lambflower turned to his supplies and retrieved a couple of various bits and pieces before drawing back to Hawkstar.

The two toms certainly had their differences. Hawkstar could not be more different from a healer; he was cunning and brutish, relying largely on his ambition. He saw medicine cats as a bit of a dead-end job. What more was there to learn, after memorizing all the leaves and bushes out there? However, he didn't deny that they were a necessity to Clan life, whether it be wounds or thorns to the paw. After his nine lives ceremony, he also certainly wanted to stay on StarClan's good side.
"I figured it would come out on its own," Hawkstar grumbled and winced as he settled by the entrance of the den. He resisted giving the thorn more licks, as that was probably what got it deeply wedged in the first place.
"Uh, well, how have you been, Lambflower? We've both been busy, I can see. You with uh... Guppypaw, especially?" he added with a sheepish smile. The leader hardly ever checked in with his medicine cat. For whatever reason, he felt unsettled and anxious around Lambflower. Maybe it was differences, or something else.
Giving the strange bits of herbs in the den a disdainful sniff, Hawkstar rested his head on his paws and resigned to this embarrassing encounter.
