about deorum
LAST UPDATED: 13/08/2021 BY PERCEPTION
Hello, and welcome...
DEORUM (translating to The Gods in Latin) is a traditional warrior cat roleplay featuring the original four clans. The original storyline is followed closely up until the series Omen Of The Stars, in which the plot-line diverges allowing users to create their own tale from the warrior universe.
We are a semi-literate forum with a low word count to ensure all levels of players can participate. We have no character limit and employ an optional but simple die rolling mechanic to ensure variability with roleplay.
This guidebook serves as your tour through Deorum. It will explain our rules, how to create and submit a character, our lore, the timeline, the die roll mechanics, and more. If you ever need any additional help, feel free to contact the staff team via the discord under the #help channel, or the help board on the forum.

ACCOUNT REGISTRATION
DEORUM is an ACCOUNT PER CHARACTER site. We ask that everyone creates an OOC account. This OOC account will be the go-between to help you manage your characters. It will also be used to communicate to members what characters are played by who and who to contact for plotting purposes. When you register, please register with your character's full warrior name - this includes leaders and apprentices! If you are making a loner, please register with their real name, not a nickname or self-given name.
CHARACTER LIMIT
We do not have one! Yay! We just ask that you be realistic with the number of characters you can handle and try to not overwhelm yourself! In the event of a member burning themselves out with characters; staff can shelve characters (mark them as npc’s until you can return to them) or have them die/go missing/deleted from DEORUM. DEORUM staff do clean up inactive accounts every 6 months - so if you have a character shelved, we do ask you log in periodically to avoid deletion.
CHARACTER AND LITTER ADOPTIONS
We encourage all members of DEORUM to be transparent with adopters prior to adoption of a character. This includes what you may expect from the adopter if they wish to shelf the character, kill the character, or drop activity with the character they adopt from you. With these transparent expectations adoptees may be as strict or as flexible as they like. However we do ask that you try and be reasonable with your expectations. DEORUM is supposed to be a fun place where we all enjoy role-playing together; many of us have RL commitments and DEORUM is our hobby - not a chore. If any issues arise from adopting characters and the expectations in place (set by the adoptee), please bring them to staff to review.
KINDNESS
Please be KIND, CARING & ACCEPTING of everyone. We are an LBGTQ+ friendly community! There will be zero tolerance for bullying or harassment of any kind. This is applicable to both OOC and IC. While IC bullying and teasing can be fun, please ensure you OK it with other players first and include “trigger warning” tag in the thread title.
SITE RATING
Proboards Terms of Service state that all registered members must be at least 13 years old. This means that DEORUM is unofficially rated for those 13 years old, or older. However due to the nature of our community; there are many mature themes which can come up. We do advise that potential members keep this in mind prior to joining.
Our RPG site rating is officially - 2 1 2
This reflects that swearing is permitted, with some limitations (spamming swearing/insults and slurs will not be tolerated, nor is it acceptable if directed at other members). In the warrior universe, there are swears and phrases that replace physical-real world swears, so please use these for in character threads and posts.
Mild sexual innuendos and references permitted.
Violence is permitted, with some limitations.

OOC chatter: For the discord; spoiler tags should be used, as well as stating that the topic/word may be a “trigger warning”. I.e - trigger warning; violence. Non-roleplay sensitive topics should refrain from general or plotting chats and be confined to #venting or #mature-furballs-only (these chats are rated NSFW and therefore may contain cussing and/or sensitive discussions).
IC threads and plots: With mature roleplay themes - we do ask that all threads/topics/posts are flagged with a “TW” tag; this is to be used in thread titles and thread descriptions, or alternatively the start of a specific post or character history.
What kind of mature roleplay threads are allowed - provided there are Trigger Warning tags?
- *Bullying / Harassment / Assault (including physical, mental and sexual) - anything severe must fade to black or be vague and ambiguous.
- Birthing / miscarriages (please ensure that the level of gore is kept to a min - medium level)
- Mental disorders / conditions - including depression and anxiety
- Immoral conditioning, cat-napping, Stockholm syndrome
- *Homophobia
- *Transphobia
- *Ableism
- Gore and Violence (Extreme Depictions)
- Suicide and self harm
- Substance abuse / glamorization
- Sexual themes / inferences towards minors (acceptable ONLY with details being as non-descript as possible)
*Bullying, harassment, assault, homophobia, transphobia or other potentially sensitive topics utilizing other members/characters need OOC permission first - don’t forget, there are REAL people behind the faces of these cats and many of these cats are made with real human emotion and thought.
It is important to remember that these topics are deemed as mature and henceforth; do require a sense of delicacy and sensitivity as they are very real and very triggering topics. It is paramount that utmost respect and care be used when dealing with these themes. Inconsiderate or insensitivity towards these themes will result in punishment.
Banned topics/themes include:
Sex / pornography - Let’s be real, we don’t really want to read or see this. There is no need for this level of intimacy on DEORUM. Keep it to snuggles, cuddles and affectionate nuzzles rather than anything extremely descriptive.

PROFILES
DEORUM has no character acceptance or character creation board. The reason for this is because ALL characters have their biographies inside their profile. You can view the character creation process on the next tab to learn how to set this up.
POWERPLAYING, META-GAMING & GODMODDING
Do not POWER PLAY, GOD-MOD or use META-INFORMATION to affect or influence your character. Your character can't read minds and know everyone's deepest secrets, nor can they win every fight. Your character can’t control what others do and everything discussed in OOC is just a potential plot and naturally things can change when these ideas are made reality IC. An apprentice is bound to lose a battle to a leader, and a kit probably won't be able to catch a mouse. (Not everyone is a Cloudtail). No one is perfect and while we want you to be creative with your characters, not everyone is a perfect Mary-sue, flaws are a part of personality!
NEW MEMBER GIFTS
As a new member of DEORUM, you are welcome to choose one free item, either a canon character item or the strange eyes item. Please note: You only have one week to redeem your gift. After that period, they will no longer be free.
DISABILITIES
We do allow disabilities but require you purchase a disability item from our forum shop. We're happy to help you figure out how to play a character accurately for the terrains we have if you need it!
HIGH RANK CHARACTERS
Here at DEORUM, any player can hold TWO high rank characters at a time.
The high rank that we currently have are the following; Leaders, Deputies, Medicine Cats, Medicine Cat's Apprentice and Clouded Claws Leader [unoffical clan]. With this intent, you may not play two high ranks in the same clan, this clan be a MCA/MC and Deputy/Leader pairing. You can also not hold two of the same ranked position. What we mean about this is that no one can play a leader and a deputy, or two leaders or two deputies. This is mostly because both positions lead to the same conclusion [leader]. The same goes for medicine cat's and their apprentices. If you wish to have two high ranks, one must be in the medicine cat' path and the other must be in the leadership path.
Activity Requirements: We require all of our high ranks to post at least twice every 2 weeks in a calendar month (2x between 1st - 15th, and then another 2x from the 16th onwards until the end of the month). While this is not a lot, we also ask that you try to keep as up to date on plots going on within your clan via discord. If for whatever reason, you are unable to meet this requirement, let us know! We always try to work with the players to help them achieve the requirements.

WORD COUNT
We don't have one! However we do ask that you give your best effort with your posts and try to manage at least a paragraph or two so that your roleplay partners have content to respond to. It is seen as good practice here on DEORUM to try and match your roleplay partners post size. Battle / sparring threads can be much shorter than this due to their nature.
AGING
All characters (regardless of age and status) will age 2 moons per real life month. Every month, the staff will post an "age up announcement" advising everyone that they need to increase their character age by 2 moons. The maximum age a character can be is 144 moons. When a character nears this age, the player will want to consider end-of-life plots.
LIQUID TIME
DEORUM also uses “liquid time”. Liquid time refers to the fact that time is in constant mobility.
When a thread is posted, it is based on now. If it is being roleplayed out, it is happening now. That means if you create a thread in the middle of a snow storm event, there is a snow storm going on. You can back-date threads or plots, but please be aware that staff do discourage backdating threads tas this may cause discrepancies as the majority of players are playing in the “now”. If threads are being backdated, these need to be clearly communicated in the thread titles or descriptions to avoid miscommunication.
What makes this style of roleplaying liquid is the fact that time moves at a pace that best fits each individual roleplayer. Due to the nature of a thread or post-by-post forum, threads and plots may take literal weeks if not months to finish due to player availability. But, time is “liquid” in that technically - all of this may have happened in 1 day (even if the thread itself took weeks to complete). A good rule of thumb is that for any given thread or scene, time only moves when players post, and time freezes when they don't.
You can also have characters featured in multiple threads without consequence. But it is encouraged that players keep a sense of their own character’s timelines - understanding and knowing the order of events, and withholding from throwing a character into a high-risk situation (i.e battle, conflict) that could void one or more of their roleplay threads. Example:A fight thread and a gathering thread. According to the fight thread; the character was almost killed. Yet, at the gathering (occuring after the fight) they were miraculously unscathed.

APPRENTICES
Mentor / apprentice training pairs are organized by the clan leader. In order to age up from an apprentice to a warrior, you must complete three training threads and be a minimum of 12 moons old. These three threads can be a combination of sparring / combat, hunting / tracking, climbing, swimming, patrol threads and/or even apprentice chores. To find out more, click apprentice thread tracker (here).
NAMING
Here at DEORUM, we use a semi-traditional naming guideline. Our lore and timeline follow the Erins’ traditional naming as we diverge from canon at the point of the move. In regards to naming, we are extremely flexible as we believe in user creativity and encourage unique names. Although, we still implore realism as per the series. We ask that you please consider the clan and location of where that clan is when coming up with a prefix. We also ask that you check the name claim to ensure your name is available. We do allow the same prefix to be used twice in each clan. However, there must be a difference of at least 12 moons between the two characters and they must have different suffixes (including former leader suffixes).
Sacred/banned names (applicable to clans only):
✣ Kit - reserved for kits only
✣ Paw - reserved for apprentices only
✣ Star - reserved for leaders only
✣ Moon - was originally conceived as a name reserved for places sacred to the Clans where leaders and medicine cats communed with StarClan: the Moonstone and the Moonpool. However despite this idea being later discarded; DEORUM is prohibiting its use due to special connotations.
✣ Shadow- Wind-, Thunder-, River- are reserved as these names reflect the four main clans. Once again, this was a rule originally reserved that was later discarded; but DEORUM is prohibiting its use due to special connotations. ✣ Sea / ocean - the sun-drown-place is the official name for the ocean and/or sea. Names that include part of the word - i.e Seaweed, are allowed.
✣ Summer-, Autumn-, and Winter- are reserved as these names are replaced by Greenleaf, Leaf-fall, and Leaf-bare. -Spring the action however is accepted, but not in reference to the season.
✣ Silverpelt- is a reserved name which is used for the name of StarClan’s territory
M✣ an-made or highly technical processes beyond the common, basic understanding of a cat are not allowed. Examples can be found in the DEORUM naming guide.
For more help with naming, please see the DEORUM naming guide for suggestions and assistance. clicking here

KITS
In order to play a kit, you must either ADOPT or PURCHASE the kit item (abandonment issues).
It is important to note that staff roll litters here at DEORUM. As part of this roll; external influences such as weather, mutations and seasonality will come into affect. This could result in a unhealthy, mutated or even an entirely still-born litter. We do have items available for purchase within our forum store to help twist StarClan's fate.
In order to produce kits between a couple, there must be at least two threads between the two (or more) characters before kits can occur. This is to estbalish a relationship between the pair and prevent overloading on litters.

QUEENS
You cannot make queen characters.
Queen's must be expecting for one full month (real life time) before successfully giving birth to her kits.
Queen characters also must wait until her previous litters are apprenticed before having a new litter. If, by chance, the litter is entirely still-born, then she will only need to wait one age up (one real life month).
Queens cannot return or do warrior duties until their kittens are 6 moons old. A queen can leave the nursery at 2 moons if her mate wishes to step down from duties and reside in the Nursery in her place. This is helpful in the case of homosexual couples or for couples who have used a surrogate. Some molly’s may also find themselves more driven towards their career than their spouse, so may wish to swap.
The only stipulation to this however is unfortunately high-ranking characters do not have this same privilege. This is due to their large and extensive workloads that exist already within the clan. Many female leaders and deputies find themselves already putting extra stress on both their minds and bodies by attempting to do their role as leader while caring for kits. This is allowed to an extent; but they cannot complete standard warrior tasks – pa-trols, hunting, gatherings. Stretching legs / brief walks in the territory and camp related tasks are OK.
It is important to remember that on DEORUM; all in character actions may have in character consequences. This is particularly true with pregnant characters and queens. For example – all litter rolls are done under the assumption the queen is looking after herself and resting. However, in the event that a queen does not look after herself (i.e., battles, hunts, patrols, attends a gathering) die rolls may occur to determine consequences of her actions. If a particular situation arises where the medicine cat or leader believe kits should be taken away from a mother/queen – unless the mother is outright harmful to her children, the ac-tion should be discussed in character with the medicine cat, the leader and of course the mother of the children. A leader and medicine cat must have good reason to take away kits from a mother and cannot simply do it because they can. Staff should be consulted on this matter and give their official confirmation if this type of plot is to take place.
Perma-queens CAN be made. But, acceptance of these is entirely dependent on the leader of each clan. Some leaders may or may not wish to have perma-queens, or too many perma-queens. If interested in creating one of these characters, consult with the user who plays the leader in the clan you're wanting to put them in.
Perma-queens / Den-Dad’s are effectively like “live in baby-sitters”. They look after the kits, play with them, teach them the warrior code, and of course tell stories. Perma-queens / Den-Dad’s also help with camp related tasks such as helping the medicine cats, helping take care of elders, reinforcing dens, and clearing crowfood from the fresh-kill pile.
They can complete regular warrior duties or tasks provided there are no kits in the Nursery that need their care. Perma-queens can attain apprentices and/or shift back into warrior-hood, provided their leader is OK with their decision.

DICE ROLLING
We have a dice rolling mechanic here at DEORUM. This is entirely optional. Some events and items however may use die rolls.
WARNINGS AND DISCIPLINE
While we don’t want to talk about this icky topic, it is important to staff that we are transparent with our community about our procedures. We operate on a three strikes system. Members who exceed their three strikes will be removed from the community. We issue warnings and suspensions privately and these are never revealed to anyone outside of the staff team.
character bios

creating your character
Here at DEORUM you will notice that we do not have the traditional biography forms that other sites share. We have instead built our biography into our user profiles. This allows our members to easily navigate to their fellow role-player’s biographies to establish relationships and interactions between characters. Below we will instruct you on how to fill out the biography form and what the areas mean. For all intents and purposes, if you require an image to be resized to the desired lengths, just drop it into chat for some assistance!
Setting Up & Creating A Biography
To edit your profile - click the “edit profile” button at the top of the navigation bar (as shown below)

The first page will have your avatar. This is generally 150x150 pixels, but if you upload a different size; the forum will automatically resize it. This avatar image can be of your character, or something that references your character. This image will show around the forum in many different places (including recent posts and 'currently online')
Click the "personal" tab (as shown below).
Click the "personal" tab (as shown below).

The basics
Our biography can be divided into 4 parts. These parts are - basic information, personality, history and out of character information. For the most part, we will ask you to make sure that all this information is filled out.
In the Basic Information section, we have the basic things that you are required to fill out. Character name (display name), character clan, rank, age, gender, pronouns and sexuality are all required to be filled out.
We understand that some felines have undetermined sexuality due to their age - if that is the case, we ask that you just write in “undetermined”.
You will notice an image here, it is 210x380 in size. This image should be of your character as it is the main image for their biography, as well as the main mini-profile image.
At first, you may not know your character’s mentor or be assigned an apprentice - that is OK. If you are playing as an apprentice, upon acceptance the clan leader will assign a mentor.
For all other characters, we ask that you input your former mentor’s name here and only include your CURRENT apprentice in this section!
Lastly it will ask you to include your alias - this is here because it will show up in the mini-profile.

Links
There are three link custom slots, one for plotter, tracker and adoption threads. If you have not made any of these threads - no worries, they will simply just not appear in your biography.
Health
This section is a sliding scale used to represent your character's overall health on a sliding scale. The max a character's health can be is 100! Please note when filling this out, the number you provide is a percentage and will change the width of the bar entirely. It is impossible for a character's health to reflect 0. To see more about character health and the various categories your character may fall into, please see the section of the Guidebook.
Size
This section is a sliding scale used to represent your character's overall size on a sliding scale. Please note when filling this out, the number you provide is a percentage and will change the width of the bar entirely. It is impossible for a character's size to reflect 0. 50 would reflect 'average', while anything above or below this would relect above or below average size!
Loyalty
This section is a sliding scale used to represent your character's overall loyalty to their clan/group/gang/owner on a sliding scale. Please note when filling this out, the number you provide is a percentage and will change the width of the bar entirely.
Faith
This section is a sliding scale used to represent your character's overall faith towards StarClan and higher powers on a sliding scale. Please note when filling this out, the number you provide is a percentage and will change the width of the bar entirely.
Reputation
This section is a sliding scale used to represent your character's overall reputation on a sliding scale. Please note when filling this out, the number you provide is a percentage and will change the width of the bar entirely. Everyone starts with a reputation of 50, unless otherwise stated by the clan leader. Leaders automatically have maximum reputation. You can learn more about reputation by viewing this section of the Guidebook >>
Quotes
There are two spaces where you can provide quotes or song lyrics that you feel capture your character (or maybe; they’re quotes they’ve said!). These are optional, but do look nice when filled out. There is a short quote and long quote section that you can fill out.

Personality
The personality section comes after the majority of the basic information. Within the personality section, there are likes/dislikes, strengths/weaknesses as well as a personality description. Please note that we ask you to have at least 5 of each - likes, dislikes, strengths and weaknesses. For strengths and weaknesses, this can be anything from negative and positive traits to things they excel at - such as hunting, swimming, fishing, etc.
The ‘personality description’ section is optional and is available for those who wish to flesh their character’s personality out a bit further than their simple likes/dislikes, strengths/weaknesses.

Appearance
This is mandatory, but can be as detailed or as brief as you like. We simply ask for a description on what your character looks like – grey tabby? Medium-fur white cat with blue eyes? Scars? Disabilities? Mutations? Anything unusual? A sentence should be fine if you’re not feeling confident with what to write. This appearance will also help staff for litter rolls, as sometimes an image itself isn’t enough to go by.

Next section is the history and family area. These sections are mandatory. You will notice that here you will have a mother/father section, siblings, mate(s) and children. Alongside these family members you will have the ability to put in your cat’s mentor again, all apprentices - including past ones - and any other notable history characters. There is also a section of “other characters” which can be updated as you go to include rivals and friends!
Out of Character
Lastly, there is the out of character section. You will be required to put in an image of 200x200; this can be of anything you like, but usually users select images they’ve used on their out of character account.
You will then be asked to fill out the pronouns, discord tag (including numbers), timezone, profile link (ooc account), triggers and an ‘about me’ section.
We have an introduction section of the discord - but you are more than free to copy and paste those to this section! The triggers are things that you would like to avoid in your role-play, and thus gives us a clear picture of what is okay to speak about around each other. It is also important to add your OTHER characters to this part as it helps other members track who you play.

27th February - 5th March
Very overcast with frequent rain and high winds. These winds are incredibly strong and make patrols and hunting difficult. Visibility is poor during the worst of the storms. It is roughly 68°F (20°C)
6th - 12th March
The frequency of rain has increased and the wind continues its strength. There are thick, black thunderclouds that hover across the top of the clans. The rain is heavy, and visibility is very poor. Rivers and creeks have rose and are threatening flooding. The rains prevent the weather from becoming as warm as is typically seasonal. It is roughly 77°F (25°C)
13th - 19th March
While the storms continue to rage frequently, they are less fierce and dangerous now. The Greenleaf heat is starting to hit in force with the declining winds. Unfortunately, this means it is also quite humid. It is roughly 95°F (35°C)
20th - 26th March
When it isn't raining, a thick fog covers the territories, further limiting visibilty. The high humidity continues. It is roughly 98.6 °F (37°C)
Environment: Prey statuses and Predators
Prey is running well in ShadowClan; with the fresh rain bringing out swampland creatures from their homes. Unfortunately, the rising water levels make hunting in the marsh land even more difficult than usual and prey is scarce in this area of the territory. The high-winds will not affect them as much as other clans, but they still may have a slight prey shortage.
Rabbits are still prevalent in WindClan, soaking up the warmth. However, the increase in predator activity has made prey overall decrease. While flooding is less of a concern for WindClan, the high winds and rain have made things difficult for the clan accustomed to sleeping beneath the stars. The tunnels are at high risk of flooding, or even collapse due to the waterlogged grounds. Digging new routes is not advised.
While ThunderClan has no worries about flooding in their mountainside camp, the slippery rock and low visibility poses its own risks. Much of their prey has gone to ground, but they are the least effected clan in this regard.
RiverClan is at high risk from the floods, which could even threaten to overtake their coastal camp. While initially the water based prey is unaffected, as the water levels rise, the fish will become more scarce. The increase in volume and current in the rivers make fishing more dangerous as well. RiverClan may need to rely more on land hunting than they are accustomed to.
*With the increase of rainfall and high winds that have been battering the clans, neutral territories are experiencing a decrease of prey. Those living in the two-leg town may have to resort to digging through two-leg trash for remains of their food to satisfy their hunger.

Several other dens are blocked too, and several warriors perish as they attempt to rescue others. Flickerstep and Nettlemask are among the fallen. Rats are attracted to the crowfood left by ThunderClan. Several patrols manage to fight off the rats, but a few warriors end up with one or two bite marks. Guppypaw, Lambflower’s apprentice, is named Guppywish and is welcomed as a full medicine cat apprentice.SHADOWCLAN
ShadowClan celebrates the retrieval of the Maple Grove and are proud to have the land – even if it is only half, under ShadowClan rule. Condorstar becomes very sick with a case of greencough and passes away. He dies surrounded by his loved ones and it is with a heavy heart that Myrtlesky travels to the Moonstone to receive her 9 lives. Upon returning, she is hailed by the name Myrtlestar and names Ouzelwolf as her deputy. A few weeks later, a blizzard hits ShadowClan and kills several cats. Stagpaw, Partridgejaw, Hyacinthpaw, and Hibiscusbloom’s unnamed kittens.THUNDERCLAN
A blizzard hits ThunderClan and the fresh-kill pile is blanketed with snow. The warriors work to unbury their prey. But someone appears to be missing from camp? Morningsky’s body is eventually retrieved and brought to camp. Melondrop, the ThunderClan deputy blames himself and Shiverfang publically blames him for his sister’s death. Weeks later; Angry about losing the Maple Grove, a patrol of warriors dumps crowfood onto RiverClan territory. This ultimately attracts rats to the RiverClan side of the Maple Grove.WINDCLAN
The blizzard hits WindClan and takes a lot from them. Nightstar looses his first life, and Willowbrook, Eveningmist and Sycamoreroot are found among the dead. Around that same time, several mollies; Sequoiasnow, Turtlefang, Fawnheart, Rosedapple, and Chestnutpelt announce they are expecting and there is hope that soon, the Nursery will be blossoming with life. Flamehowl dies and Foxpaw returns to warrior life; promptly deciding to take advantage of her mentor’s passing. WindClan is left without a healer until one day, a rogue shows up at the border; claiming to have been sent messages from StarClan. Nightstar questions this, but eventually warms to the idea especially as WindClan is vulnerable without a medicine cat. The cat joins and is renamed to Bitterntalon. He takes a few lessons with RiverClan’s Lambflower to sharpen his skills.YEAR 10 LEAF-BARE
RiverClan
Nemesiashine falls pregnant and gives birth to Hawkstar’s kittens. 2 moons later, she gives birth to a healthy litter of kittens.ThunderClan
ThunderClan attacks RiverClan in an attempt to claim back The Maple Grove. They loose the fight and are forced to return to their clan’s empty pawed. A little while later; Shiverfang snaps and attacks Melondrop. Wishcloud gets in the way and is killed by Shiverfang. Melondrop returns to ThunderClan with severe wounds and the body of Wishcloud. Many are terribly upset by the loss.ShadowClan
The newly named leader, Myrtlestar, falls pregnant and gives birth to a litter of four kittens. Unfortunately, one is born still. The rest however are healthy. At a gathering; Cranefeather (the former ThunderClanner who killed Jayfeather, Rabbitstar and made an attempt against Tumblestar) makes an appearance. ThunderClan are angry at her appearance and immediately insult ShadowClan for welcoming in a known murderer. The ShadowClan cats are quick to defend one of their own and Bisontooth manages to diffuse the situation. Poppyfern, a perma-queen and daughter of Myrtlestar, is killed at the border. She is found with black and white tufts of fur between her claws and the evidence points to Antlercloud. Ouzelwolf leads a patrol to try and track the tom, but they run into some unexpected guests. Antlercloud has a patrol of misfit rogues with him, and they immediately fall to violence. Grasshopperpaw is named ShadowClan’s next medicine cat apprentice, but she falls sick and dies a few moons after being named. Skywhisper names a second apprentice a moon later.WindClan
When returning home from a gathering, it is discovered that Fawnheart, her mate and her small – freshly born kittens are missing. Rumors spread throughout WindClan that it was Fawnheart’s impure bloodline that finally got the better of her. Nightstar, who is getting older; is worried about the future of his clan and ensures to name a pureblood for his clan’s next deputy. Miragespirit is named the clan’s next deputy.YEAR 10 NEW-LEAF
RIVERCLAN
Hawkstar makes some new, controversial decisions. He decides to outlaw perma-queens, thus throwing Blossomleap into the role of a warrior unless she can find someone to sire her some kittens. She is successful and happily returns back to the Nursery. Hawkstar also then decides to name apprentices as young as 4 moons. The lucky ones were – Anchovykit, Toadstoolkit, and three of his own kits – Sealkit, Tadpolekit and Orcakit. In light of these new decisions, Sagefrost; the clan’s deputy, decides he can no longer support Hawkstar and steps down. Hawkstar wastes no time and announces XX as his new deputy. Lambflower is killed at the border with WindClan; the moor runners are labeled the murderers, despite there being much more to the story than the eye could see.SHADOWCLAN

Skywhisper, ShadowClan’s medicine cat is killed by the Clouded Claws. He leaves behind his second apprentice, X, who is named the clan’s next full medicine cat in his death.THUNDERCLAN
Tumblestar falls pregnant with Howlingwind’s kits; she then later gives birth to 6 healthy, happy, thriving kittens. Tumblestar arranges another seasonal game of Hawks & Ridges from the nursery. Melondrop, the clan’s deputy, discovers he is sick with a life-threatening illness. The medicine cats cannot treat him, but they can make his life more comfortable until it eventually claims him. He remains the clan deputy for now, but begins preparing to step down in the coming moons.WINDCLAN
The medicine cat, Bitterntalon, takes on his first apprentice. The apprentice is named Midgepaw. Tawnyowl, Nightstar’s mate, falls pregnant and delivers 3 healthy kittens. Nightstar increases patrols as it seems RiverClan is stealing prey. But, there is no real evidence as yet. When a patrol of WindClan warriors finds the body of the RiverClan medicine cat sprawled between both RiverClan and WindClan, violence immediately ensues with WindClan being named the killers of the beloved medicine cat.Clouded Claws
Unexplained prey theft seems to be happening on both the borders of WindClan and RiverClan. Naturally, the two clans suspect each other; but it is in fact Antlercloud’s doing and his group of Clouded Claws. Antlercloud makes a plan to have someone from RiverClan killed at the WindClan border, laying the bait for a perfect storm. His plan is successful and violence breaks out at the border between the two clans.YEAR 10 GREENLEAF

RIVERCLAN'S BIOME
Since the shift to the sun-drown-place; Riverclan clung to the same traditional territory type. These cats favor water the most and opted to be right on the sun-drown-place. Their territory butts right up against it, allowing them to have water the whole stretch down one side of their territory.

HAWKSTAR

Inter-clan relationships/forbidden romances
While a product of a forbidden romance himself, Hawkstar adamantly believes that such an act is selfish and disloyal. He believes that his parents’ mistakes condemned him, as a half-Clan kitten, to a lifetime of mistrust and misfit. As such, Hawkstar would never subject another kit to such a miserable fate and finds cats who make such irresponsible decisions to be insufferable. He does not tolerate any indulgent, selfish cats who put love above their loyalty to their Clan. In most instances, Hawkstar would no longer trust such a warrior. The warrior then has two options: leave RiverClan to be with their lover, or convince their lover to join RiverClan with them. This is because Hawkstar does not trust that two cats will simply “break off” their love and thus, will not risk the cat revealing RiverClan’s secrets. If kittens result from a forbidden romance, Hawkstar strongly believes they must be raised in RiverClan and is willing to fight for them.
Willingness to form alliances
Hawkstar is reluctant to form alliances with other Clans. He sees RiverClan as the best Clan in the forest and finds the other lifestyles inferior. He would never trade away any resources or information for the sake of staying on anyone’s ‘good side.’ Besides, RiverClan has always been proud and independent, and Hawkstar is proud of that sentiment. However, be warned that he would not hesitate to take advantage of another Clan’s weakness. If he does ever form an alliance, it would be solely strategic and never based on friendship.
Belief in StarClan
He is not a strong believer in StarClan, but Hawkstar certainly thinks they exist, especially after receiving his nine lives. He likes to think that one day he will see his Clanmates and loved ones again in StarClan. However, he does not believe they hold any real power over living cats or their lives. He views them as kind of like a “watchmaker god,” that oversees the Clans but does not truly interfere. Hawkstar has always been a cat who shapes his own destiny, and always will be. In the past, he has faked StarClan’s signs and used the blind loyalty of StarClan-worshipping Clanmates to his advantage.
Acceptance of Outsiders
Hawkstar begrudgingly accepts outsiders and other clanners, given he was accepted himself. However, he puts them to rigorous testing and would require them to complete the full training of an apprentice. While vocally against forbidden romances, Hawkstar has a soft spot for young cats and kittens and is willing to take them in, believing that they were not at fault for their parents’ mistakes. Until they are initiated as a full warrior and finished training, he reserves the right to banish them from RiverClan as he sees fit.
Perception of other clans
Hawkstar is apathetic and disinterested in the other Clans. He believes that in general, they cause nothing but drama and trouble. A sneaky and cunning tom, Hawkstar would only be interested in engaging with them to take advantage of them. He cares little for their well-being and doesn’t think RiverClan should help or aid other Clans unless there is something in it for themselves.
Perception of their own clan
RiverClan has always been the greatest Clan in the forest, and Hawkstar continues to believe that. He currently feels a little sad to see his Clan splitting into cliques and wants to encourage a more cohesive bond among his Clanmates. In the migration to their new territories, Hawkstar feels that many of their old traditions were lost, so he hopes to restore them. Furthermore, moons of friendliness with other Clans has made them soft, and he wants to change this and make them more independent from their neighbors.
"Vision" for their clan
Hawkstar hopes to make RiverClan more powerful in the battlefield and bring out the tactics that make RiverClan who they are. He can be a bit militaristic, wanting RiverClan to train the strongest warriors and fight the fiercest battles. Nothing like a show of strength to display RiverClan’s might! Additionally, he hopes to make RiverClan more close knit, encouraging patriotism and devotion to traditional RiverClan ideals. Fear is one way to subdue the other Clans, and Hawkstar hopes RiverClan warriors will terrify warriors of other Clans into complacence.
SUNSTRIKE
Inter-clan relationships/forbidden romances
unstrike deeply disapproves of forbidden romance. It is the ultmate betrayal to the clan, and Starclan, choosing a singular cat over both. As for interclan relations, he's known for his hot temper, and is good at casting his charming facade. He is close to few clanmates, however, and openly disapproves of permaqueens and cats retiring too early.
Willingness to form alliances
Largely unwilling internally, externally, however, he understands there exists a time and place. Other clans are easier to manipulate should they form an alliance, anyways.
Belief in StarClan
Sunstrike is faithful to his ancestors. He fully believes they guide his paws and want him on the path to leadership. In everything he does, he believes Starclan would want him to act in a way he best believes could help Riverclan.
Acceptance of Outsiders
Outsiders are worse than the other clan cats, to Sunstrike. Kittypets and loners, rogues and city cats. None of them even come close to the power and faith a clan cat can have. They were lower than a mouse, and Sunstrike would rather bow down to a fish than take orders from a non-clan cat.
Perception of other clans
The other clans are weak and insignificant, compared to the mighty Riverclan. They are cowardly and pathetic, underserving of Starclan's blessing. Sunstrike sees them as little more than prey. That said, he understands there exists a need for four clans, even if the other three only exist to challenge and help Riverclan grown stronger.
Perception of their own clan
Riverclan has proven through the seasons that they are better, smarter, stronger, and swifter than the other clans. They deserve the blessing of Starclan and more in Sunstrike's eyes.
"Vision" for their clan
Sunstrike shares Hawkstar's vision, and sees a future where Riverclan is the largest, strongest, most dominant of the clans. The other clans can and will still exist, but only to further Riverclan's greatness.
Leader Outlook
Sunstrike has worshipped Hawkstar since before he was leader. Sunstrike's mentor was a close friend of the dark tabby, and instilled a certain kind of faith and loyalty to him in Sunstrike. Sunstrike believes Hawkstar is the greatest leader that has ever led Riverclan.

GUPPYWISH

Helping non-clanmates
Guppywish often seems rather stern and cold, but in reality she is far from it. She is sassy and fiesty, but won't turn someone away if they request her help. She will never forget someone who she has helped, nor will she be afraid to cash in the favor.
Belief in StarClan
Guppywish is a strong and avid believer in StarClan. She has often at times wondered why they cursed her to live with only three legs, but she has always told herself to trust her ancestors. She respects that StarClan can do some questionable things, but she also believes that sometimes there are things out of their control.
Acceptance of Outsiders
Guppywish is a little unsure when it comes to outsiders. She doesn't trust them and is exceptionally cautious. However, she is willing to give them the benefit of the doubt if they can put the effort in.
Perception of other clans
Guppywish has a very strong distaste for the other clans; perhaps something that was embedded in her from warrior training. However, she is gradually starting to become a little more open to the idea of building relationships and connections with other clans and their medicine cats. But, it won't be a simple, overnight process.
Perception of their own clan
RiverClan is her home; it is everything to her and more. While Guppywish may not be able to fight and lay down her life for RiverClan, she will do everything in her power to protect and care for her family as best she possibly can.
Leader Outlook
A true Hawkstar loyalist. Guppywish admires the dark tabby and would do anything to support his wishes and goals. She appreciates that he still seems to respect her despite her inability to be a warrior.

A War Of Hearts: Created By Celestine
A war of hearts is a Riverclan tale often told by elders, with an unknown origin. It relates to some stories about the supposed fact the clans used to be made of bigger and wilder cats but is otherwise seen as nothing more than a myth. Many say we once came from something much greater. In place of the felines we know today, the clans were once made of graceful leopards, powerful lions, stealthy tigers, and swift cheetahs. These beings were mighty and infallible, without parallel. Yet even the mightiest of beings had lessons to be learned.
Of these great clans came two star-crossed souls. The leopardess was a graceful beauty, master of the tides. The lion was a terrifying force, seemingly with a heart as golden as his flowing mane. It was in this lion that the leopardess found her first love. His strength made her feel safe, and his heart made her feel wanted. To her, he was perfect - yet her stars disagreed.
As she fell deeper in love with her lion, the stars sent many warnings to the leopardess. Prophecy after prophecy was sent and ignored, each worst than the last. Her mind was scored with images of bloodshed and pain, her thoughts plagued with whispers of death and betrayal. The voices of the wind would never cease to warn her. Yet as is the forbidden fruit, this only strengthened her desire.
The pair continued to meet in secret as tensions rose between their clans, and finally, the warnings stopped. It seemed the stars had given up. However, they had much more in store for the leopardess, as their prophecy was sure to soon come true. It was on the day after their whispers faded that the balance shifted, and a war of leopards and lions rose like a tide. In the midst of this war, a choice would face the forbidden hearts.
Are you loyal to your heart, or loyal to your home?
Face to face with her love on the battlefield, there was no hesitation in the leopardess' choice. She turned away from her lion, ignoring the chance to turn the tide of the battle in her favor. The lion, however, made a different choice. She had overestimated love. It was at his claws that the leopardess would meet her end - and it was his eyes that would be the last she would ever see. The forbidden fruit, it seemed, was forbidden for good reason.
General
The story of the Wind: Created By - Intrique
Myth | All clans"It begins long ago, when felines first began going to Starclan. Back in the early days of the clans. There had been a leader, greedy and blinded by hatred for the other clans. He had talked his clan into planning to wipe out the other clans for good. During this time no wind breezed the moor, making it filled with dead plants and seeds that did not leave the area. The moor was the only land with beautiful plants and flowers, while the others only had herbs and trees.
Upon hearing this, Starclan tries to send signs to the other clans of the upcoming war, to stop it. But they ignored the tales, for their clan put up the face of loving the other clans. That night the clan crept towards another, and in panic, Starclan whispered to the living realm. So many whispers that a breeze ruffled the moors, through the trees. The clans scent was sent to the opposing clans, for the first time. for the first time wind blew through, spreading wonderous flowers and other things to the other clans. This clans glory was spread and they were stopped. So now, because of this leaders greed, a breeze now fills the territories to give guidance even though we may not hear it."
The Moonstone: Created By - Intrique
Myth | All clans"They say that in the earliest days of the clans, before medicine cats were even a role, there was peace. For a short while, at least. One new-leaf, rain and the snow-melt flooded the territories high, covering almost everything they could see. Except for a single cave, nestled between Croaking Swamp and Lions' Roar Cave. It sat empty, cold and pitch black. To make matters worse, as the waters grew high dogs could be heard everywhere that was shallow enough for them to stand. They had chased some of the clans into this cave, snapping and growling at the leader and deputies. Terrified, with some already injured, they had no where to go. This was the end for them. But, just as they thought all hope was lost, Starclan intervened.
A cat with the stars in their pelt, eyes as white and bright as the stars stood before the clan members, and interfered with the battle. From the ground up shot a blue crystal, radiating a gentle blue glow that knocked the dog back, and drove it away. No one knows just why it drove the dog away, or why the prey in the area fled the moment the crystal came up from the ground, but once they were all gone the cat with stars in their fur turned to the leaders and some of the others with them called forth for four to step forward. Four cats, with no special set of skills. This cat with the stars touched each of them with their nose to their forehead, and gifted them the basic knowledge of herbs and the ways of a medicine cat. Because of this, medicine cats could now exist. However, in order to keep this knowledge running for generations to come, they would have to come every half-moon to touch the Moonstone and dream. Unless it was dark and the moon shown half or full, it would be like it never existed. But on those nights, nothing stirred in the area near."
The Sun and The Moon: Created By - Roxanne
Myth | Kitten tale | All clans/outsidersIt begins with a she-cat as beautiful as can be. She is of the whitest snow, her eyes two pools of blue. She is graceful and elegant. She walks with stardust on her paws, and stars in her pelt. She is Moon, the life-like of it.
It ends with a tom as handsome as can be. He is ginger, golden and bright, his eyes of the brightest amber. He is strong, and powerful. He walks with smoke on his paws, and clouds in his pelt. He is Sun, the life-like of it.
There tale is as old as time, they are starcross lovers, forbidden to meet, forbidden to love. There love is never ending, much like the cycles they bring. Sun is the day, and Moon the night, one can not exist while the other is alive. There chase brings wonders, brings life to those around.
The tide, it pulls. The prey it awakens, the plants it grows. But darkness always looms. They say, the day that they meet, will be the end of time itself.
Deathseeker: Created By - Celestine
A cautionary tale and legend assumed to have originated from Skyclan in ancient days, shared by medicine cats and startled clanmates at gatherings until all the clans knew. It seems to be a warning, and hopefully one that cats will heed.In times of old a kit was born, the lone survivor of a stillborn litter. His mother was heartbroken and, desperate for someone to punish, placed the blame upon the survivor. Claiming that he was the cause of her misfortunate, she named her son Deathkit. The stars were quick to lash out.
As Deathkit grew, so did the suffering his mother would face. Her next attempt at a litter would result in a painful miscarriage, and before she could try again, her mate met his unfortunate end. Deathpaw's first leafbare saw a sickness thrust harshly upon his mother, one which battered her for days. Many more misfortunes would befall her soul, and in silence, her son would watch on.
Finally, as she lay upon her nest with an infection the medicine cats could not seem to cure, she made a selfish choice. Desperate to bring an end to her suffering, she told her son she loved him and attempted to give him a new name. He saw through her lies. As if intent for her to get the fate she deserved, he refused. She was fading as her son took the name Deathseeker and, as he looked her in the eyes, she knew no more.
No one knows what happened to Deathseeker after that day. He seemed to fade away - but many say he was never truly gone. He guided the lost souls of kits to the stars, and for any mother who mistreated her kits, his curse would always seem to follow.
Beyond The Stars: Created By - Chuchus
Myth | Kitten tale | All clansGlacierdew blinked. One moment he was in StarClan, the next he wasn't. What was this vast unknown? The memories came flooding back. He had died....in StarClan. It defied everything anyone ever knew... but it was the truth. There was a light. Where? How? What? So many questions. No answers. No one to answer. But he knew he the light was pulling him, and the darkness was urging him, and he needed to. The light was blinding. It seared Glacierdew's eyes, but he had to keep going. He closed his eyes, and let the forces of darkness and light guide him. It was time. Time to face what was beyond...
Glacierdew blinked. Wait. He wasn't Glacierdew anymore. Instead of the normal bright white fur he bore, he was now golden, with tabby stripes. And he felt so small... and so cozy.... and so tired. Why? Then he saw the face. The face of a mother. "I name you Firkit," she named him softly. Glacierdew finally understood. Beyone death and more death....was new life. And then the memories went away.

SHADOWCLAN'S BIOME
Since the shift to the sun-drown-place; Shadowclan clung to the same traditional territory type. They were originally offered the space closest to the sun-drown-place, but turned their noses up at it and opted for the space with the thickest of forests and deep, gooey marshlands. They prefer the shadows and the cooler weather that comes with it.
Condorstar has created a new role within Shadowclan. This is called Night Warriors. These cats are the same as regular warriors, but tend to perform their duties at night, optimizing the use of the shadows.

MYRTLESTAR

Inter-clan relationships/forbidden romances
I used to think that love was a false notion. Something that we told kits to give them hope of the future. But then I felt love’s bite and now, I understand it. However, I could never imagine putting someone else above your clan – the very clan you work so hard to protect and fight for…If someone loves you, and you them, shouldn’t they accept that your clan is a core part of who you are? I cannot imagine anyone truly in love would ask someone to choose between love and their clan. Forbidden romances are something I cannot and will not condone
Willingness to form alliances
There is power in numbers and strength in a united front. I cannot deny that. I believe ShadowClan has superior strength on its own, but of course circumstances can change and winds can blow both in and out of our favor. I would be willing to accept an alliance, but I would rather we did not owe anyone afterwards. The circumstances around the alliance would ultimately sway my grace.
Belief in StarClan
I used to be so undecided with my belief in StarClan. The stars and the moon that shine above are undoubtedly real. And since becoming clan leader, my ties to my warrior ancestors have been greater than ever before. They gave forgiven us for our many sins of our past. But I cannot help but wonder why. I cannot help but wonder if someday they will take their forgiveness and throw it back at us.
Acceptance of Outsiders
Outsiders leave a strong distaste in my mouth, but I am not opposed to making new loyalties with them if they can prove capable.
Perception of other clans
Everyone who isn’t us, is an enemy. This is what my mother taught me, and it is the words that I will repeat.
Perception of their own clan
ShadowClan is strong, capable, fierce and we are bound by blood. Many of us recall the stories of Tigerstar and Brokenstar. While we don’t whisper their names much anymore, their actions still sit heavy in our souls. To other clans, we likely seem like brutes – maybe even evil. But, that is not the case for ShadowClan. ShadowClan is something to be feared, certainly, but we have grace and elegance. We have learned from our leader’s past mistakes. We are better now than ever before.
"Vision" for their clan
The forest has changed a lot in the moons since I became clan deputy. And now, as I stand as leader; I sense even greater challenges ahead. ShadowClan needs to be a united clan, one that evokes fear upon its enemies and second guesses whether it is worth the risk to double cross us. We will continue to be a beckon of hope for those with misguided pasts, but we will not be underestimated. We will only grow stronger.
OUZELWOLF
Inter-clan relationships/forbidden romances
Flings that hold no emotional value and are all play I find tolerable, but true love? The only ‘true love’ you should ever feel is towards your clan! I have a lot of love to give myself and I understand the temptations of a forbidden fruit, but I also know where my heart lies and that’s with my clan; as should yours. I am aware that there are different kinds of love out there, but I’m of the mind that the love of your clan should always, always come first before the love of an individual. Afterall the clan will be here long after you die; it is eternal, whereas an individual is fleeting. Should kits come to be as a result of an affair, they are to be raised in Shadowclan. They belong to us regardless of who the mother is and will be raised as the next generation of warriors of Shadowclan. The blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb and deflecting from the very clan that raised you, fed you, and protected you should be repaid with your death. Your very being belongs to the clan and nobody else.
Willingness to form alliances
Nature is a fickle mistress who dances to her own tunes that can leave Shadowclan both fertile and bereft. I recognize that sometimes alliances are needed to benefit us, but they are a double-edged sword I’m unlikely to risk. Why ask for things when I can just take them? My clan comes first and I will not watch them struggle when I can easily obtain from another more fortunate than I. However, I won’t dismiss forging alliances as long as Shadowclan comes out on top in the end.
Belief in StarClan
Starclan is real, but they are not the gods other’s make them out to be. They are dead cat’s who we once knew and are not the all knowing benevolent, otherworldly beings, we often commit them as. If anything I believe they are sanctimonious and pretentious dead cats who forgot what it’s like to be alive. Living in a world that is as fickle as ours and trying to survive alongside several other clans is not easy. If it’s not the rivalries between clans that will kill you, it is sickness or starvation that will be forced upon. The dead shouldn’t coach the living on how to live and they shouldn’t be the ones to judge us with the methods we use to survive. Starclan are our honored fallen who have their rare uses to the living, but that’s all they are to me. They are not worthy of my praise or blind devotion and prayers. Afterall, they are not gods.
Acceptance of Outsiders
Clan life is hard and sometimes difficult to adjust to. We have a culture most express skepticism over and a way of life outsiders might find difficult to adapt to. While I am not opposed to fresh new-blood, as every new individual can benefit the clan in some area, they have to be willing to adapt and accept that I demand their loyalty and compliance; regardless if it’s ‘earned’. Shadowclan cares for our own, but you must prove yourself worthy of our protection and loyalty.
Perception of other clans
Myrtlestar puts it into great words and I cannot say it any better myself. Everyone who isn’t us, is an enemy.
Perception of their own clan
Outsider’s fear Shadowclan because they do not understand us and everyone hates what they cannot understand. To them we are battle-hungry, greedy, and ruthless, but that is also partly our fault because we forgot who we truly are with our poor choices in past leaders. However, I have no intention to change other’s opinions of us; the opinions of sheep do not matter to the great and ambitious Shadowclan. Shadowclan was built with the values of being proud in our culture, loyal and protective of our own, and ambitious enough to reach for the stars; something other clans view as inherently evil and greedy because they themselves are too weak minded to strive for the best of their abilities. I intend for our clan to remember this, especially after the recent wounds and doubt Antlercloud and his gang instilled with their little rebellion. While other clans may be faster or stronger than us, we are still the most dangerous warriors of all for we are fierce, we are proud, and we are independent. We are Shadowclan and we are the dark heart of the forest.
"Vision" for their clan
I do not seek some idyllic future where Shadowclan rules the forest and absorbs the other clans. That is a dream and not something that I would believe to happen in my life time. I rather focus my efforts on other things concerning Shadowclan anyways. I want my clan to remember who we are and who we used to be. We may not talk about them ourselves but the other clans never let us forget about the black stains upon our history, Tigerstar and Brokenstar. We are not our past mistakes. I want Shadowclan to continue to be a safe harbor for those who need it, a second chance for them to begin anew and put their best paw forward. But I also want us to remember what loyalty and pride in our culture means. I want my clan to foster inter-clan relationships and become a tight-knit community so that we may prosper once again! I’d love to push Shadowclan beyond what we already are and develop into something more.
Leader Outlook
I will admit, I do not know much about Myrtlestar personally, but I have watched her lead as Shadowclan’s deputy and before so. I am hopeful of her ability to help Shadowclan grow and I admire how she is ambitious enough like myself to reach for the stars and beyond. I hope with time we will develop a friendship and provide a united front for Shadowclan to prosper under.

SKYWHISPER

Helping non-clanmates
Sometimes. Skywhisper tends to be conservative with herbs and prioritize them for his own Clan, occasionally making him seem a bit selfish. He will only heal outsiders on the word of his leader, StarClan, or in a true emergency. He is willing to exchange herbs with other Clans only if stocks are plentiful already.
Belief in StarClan
Devoted. Skywhisper cares deeply about his ancestors and feels a close connection with them. He believes it to be a crucial part of medicine cat life, and he will often defer decisions to that of StarClan should they speak. While he won't dissuade cats from not believing in StarClan, he might feel disconnected to or bothered by them.
Acceptance of Outsiders
Open-minded. Since joining ShadowClan, Skywhisper has slowly grown more accustomed to non-Clan-born cats. He has found great joy in befriending cats of different backgrounds. However, he believes the acceptance of outsiders into the Clan is not his decision, but the Clan leader’s.
Perception of other clans
Compassionate. Skywhisper has learned a great deal about other Clans and has grown to respect them all for their separate characteristics. He will try to dissuade others from going into battle. He does not look down on other Clans but can be wary of his birth Clan (WindClan) for which he holds a fearful and nostalgic grudge.
Perception of their own clan
Very positive. Skywhisper has truly found his place in ShadowClan and believes ShadowClan is a place for second chances and hopeful ambitions. He sees ShadowClan as the most accepting and intriguing Clan the forest, and he is very proud to be one of them since joining
Leader Outlook
Positive. Skywhisper greatly respects Condorstar’s power. He feels in debt to the ShadowClan leader for accepting him as their medicine cat and wants to prove himself. He believes that Condorstar is the epitome of a model ShadowClan leader and that StarClan is on his side. He would support Condorstar’s decisions to a fault.

Myth | Kitten Tale | ShadowClanIt began long ago, in the earliest of the clan's days.
Back in those early days there had been a lot of questions of what was real and what was not. In fact, many still questioned the existence of the stars and it's afterlife. Many, they say, still wished their previous dark and evil ways upon the land.
In those early days, there was a feline, his name lost to time, that would prowl the night's shadows. No one knew of his origin, or why he did what he did, but kittens would go missing when his scent was near. Many a queens would tuck their kittens away at night in fear of this feline.
Moons would pass, until the fateful night he was caught. Shadowclan warriors, strong and prideful, came down harsh on this intruder - in his jaws a kitten snatched gently from the nest of it's mother. The kitten would be set free you see, the intruder killed. However his smile lay on his face.
Nights would pass, queens would sleep peacefully knowing the intruder was long dead. However only a few short moons would pass and one kitten would venture out after dark. She was adventurous, naughty, and always looking for trouble. That night she saw it, the shadow.
A tall thing with eyes that glowed a frightening yellow. The feline was almost transparent, his shadowy form almost smokey in contrast. He smelled of death and bile. He was every nightmare and more. She had screamed, but it had been too late. She had been stolen in the night.
In the small entrance to that kitten's nursery was that kitten's sister. She had witnessed the whole thing. She swore she had seen the shadow cat, but not a one would believe her. Determined as she was, she stole away into the night to find her sister.
Some say that the little sister died that night trying to find the shadow cat. Others say she went willingly into the paws of Starclan. Whatever the case, naughty kittens who sneak out of the nursery seem to be the Shadow cat's targets... and only the Light kitten can bring them home safely.

Myth | All clans
"It begins long ago, when felines first began going to Starclan.

THUNDERCLAN'S BIOME
Since the shift to the sun-drown-place; ThunderClan’s territory has changed slightly. They still adore their thick, deeply woven forests, but have also began experimenting with rolling hills and rocky mountain edges. Over the moons in the new territories, they have developed rough, hard paw-pads that help them climb.
They have recently created a new tactic called Ridge Hunting. This specific tactic was founded by Tumblestar and Argusheart, and is taught to older apprentices only, making use of the rocky edges on the mountain sides to capture prey. Tumblestar also implemented her own special council, which she uses to consult on important clan decisions.

LEADERSHIP POLICIES
TUMBLESTAR

Inter-clan relationships/forbidden romances
I'm fine with friendships among cats of different clans, but they should stop there. Cats should be aware of where their loyalties lie and who they represent. Not only are forbidden romances risky, they are also irresponsible, selfish, and come with more complications. They are against the code for a reason. Whoever is thinking of doing this should heavily consider the consequences, especially when kits are involved.
Willingness to form alliances
I'm not against them; however, deals and such get broken almost all of the time. At the end of the day, each clan is going to care about itself more than anyone outside that. With that in mind, I would accept the alliance only if it benefits my clan well and makes sense to do so.
Belief in StarClan
I've had personal experiences with StarClan, so it would be foolish of me to not believe in their existence. I think it's smart to heed to their prophecies, warnings, etc. However, we should not be overly reliant on them. (Clarity isn't their strongest trait, anyways). We should also understand that they have their limits and cannot control everything, so we should take matters into our own paws.
Acceptance of Outsiders
Short answer: I'm wary of them. Their intentions and motives won't be clear all of the time, so I mentally prepare for the worst. (Not everyone has a pure heart.) I will try to be neutral to outsiders (whether they are nice and easygoing or just a thorn in my rear) and be somewhat open to those wanting to join ThunderClan. But cats should keep in mind that me and my fellow clanmate's trust should be earned, not given.
Perception of other clans
Ah, where do I start? In general, I don't trust them. If anything, I would trust RiverClan more than the other two because we are on neutral terms. Our most recent wars involved ShadowClan and WindClan. I would love to believe that we could all move forward and put the past behind us. But something tells me that there's more to come from beneath the surface. So, I don't think the tension would lift anytime soon. Personally, I think those wars could have been avoided; ShadowClan should have been given a time to return the land from the start and WindClan... conversations would have been more helpful (and safer) than a battle and now look where we are. But, I can't change the past, so let's talk future: ThunderClan would be kept to itself and won't get involved in matters that aren't our concern. Our resources, effort, and time would be spent on ourselves. But remember, we weren't ever pushovers in the past, so I woudn't suggest expecting that now.
Perception of their own clan
ThunderClan is a clan of resilient, courageous, intelligent, and strong-minded warriors. Our tenacity is unparalleled to anyone. We have dealt with obstacles our way and have had to make sacrificies and yet we still carry ourselves with dignity, pride, and valor. Our strength in character and values have kept us mostly on the right side of history; we defend each other and those that can't protect themselves. While we are a phenomal clan, we aren't perfect and will never be. But we can and will try to get as close as possible.
"Vision" for their clan
ThunderClan needs to be more unified more than ever before. My hope is to help build a stronger bond among my clanmates and provide a safe-space for every cat. While I am the leader, I am not perfect. With that being said, I welcome any feedback that could benefit the clan. Additionally, we need utilize our territory to the fullest, especially when navigating the harsh leaf-bares. I hope to introduce new hunting techniques suited for the moutains and other areas. We also need more battle tactics to prepare for what may happen in the future. From experience, I know that unpredictability could be a strength. As far as inter-clan relations, I think it's best we keep to ourselves and put energy into matters that involve us. Our assistance haven't been welcomed in the past, so I won't force it.
WISPFANG
Inter-clan relationships/forbidden romances
Don’t do it. Or well, do not let me find out you have an appetite for such things. I will make you miserable and probably hurt you for being such a fool.
Willingness to form alliances
If ThunderClan can reap a benefit, I am willing to temporarily bury my distaste for the other clans. And if our agreement seems to show signs of cracks? Let’s be willing to attack before our once allies show up in our camp. I am willing to make alliances if the conditions are ideal to do so for ThunderClan. However, personally, I only take orders from Tumblestar and will not be commanded by another leader.
Belief in StarClan
I believe in StarClan; my mother would pray before every battle. In my youth I found her worship quite whimsical. But as I’ve matured, I know they’re watching over us and trust in us when they warn us of what is to come. Yet, I have not always been the most respectful, and they have not been in the forefront of my mind as much as my mother would like. This isn’t something I would necessarily change though, I don’t want to be distracted when I fight.
Acceptance of Outsiders
Typically I do not want to accept outsiders and can be very cold towards them. But if Tumblestar sees something worthwhile in them, I can warm up to the idea usually. She is a better judge of character than I am. Truthfully, when I am alone I am more hostile and prefer to fight outsiders rather than chat with them.
Perception of other clans
Playthings to fight, they can be entertaining enough since I enjoy blood-shed. What morals I do have are reserved for my clanmates. I find it hard to ever consider forgiving ShadowClan. I rather work with RiverClan or WindClan, but still there are always difficulties with burying my hostilities.
Perception of their own clan
I am proud of this clan, proud to be born into it, and proud to fight for it. And I expect the same from others. Sometimes I do wish we were more aggressive. We could certainly catch someone by surprise if we pushed our scent markers and were actually willing to fight over it. I would find it thrilling and no one would expect us to do such a thing.
"Vision" for their clan
I hope for every season to go better than the last. It’s a straightforward vision, maybe even a simple one, but sometimes the future gives away very little about itself. When we find ourselves with no other option but bloodshed, I expect our warriors to fight as if tomorrow is on the line. Death is just a thought.
Leader Outlook
Her head is in the right place, better than mine most of the time anyways. I certainly know she can take criticism better than I can. I know she will steer ThunderClan to the best of her ability and that is all I could ask for. I am the one who doesn’t want to disappoint her.

LILACPETAL

Helping non-clanmates
Perhaps it is because I can be considered too compassionate, but I would never turn away a cat in need, regardless of their allegiance. Clan cat or otherwise doesn't matter to me. I cannot just sit back and watch a cat die if I can do something about it. I try to be sparing with my herb usage, but if it means saving a life, I wouldn't consider it a waste.
Belief in StarClan
I've... always loved Starclan, ever since I was a kit. Or it was more like a mystified fascination. I always wanted to hear more, to know more. I was excited to meet them when I went to my first half-moon meeting. But I have since come to realize that they aren't quite like I had envisioned as a kit. They aren't some mysterious, all-powerful deities. They used to be cats just like us, and they can do little to influence the real world. Still, their guidance has helped me greatly in my journey. I will continue to rely on them as long as I am a medicine cat.
Acceptance of Outsiders
I'm not one to turn away a cat desperately wanting to join Thunderclan, though of course that is all Tumblestar's decision. Whatever decision she comes to, I will accept. But I will say that new members that are willing to learn our ways are more than welcome to make their case. They will be treated like any other clanmate in my case.
Perception of other clans
The others all have their own troubles, it seems. Things seem a bit tense between everyone, and I fear that this tension may start boiling over soon. I am especially fearful when it comes to Windclan and Shadowclan, both of which have reasons to hold a grudge against our clan. Their medicine cats, however, have been nothing but friendly towards me and I am amicable towards them in return.
Perception of their own clan
I love Thunderclan. I will not hide this fact. Everyone here is like a big family, and I really admire this kind of close-knit group. I am proud to be a Thunderclanner, and I know that Tumblestar will do right by us.
Leader Outlook
Tumblestar is a respectable leader. Though Firestar did a lot of questionable things which left us with an unfortunate reputation, she has worked harder than anyone to prove that she is a reliable leader. I deeply respect her, though I worry that she works too hard sometimes.
GOLDFINCHPAW
Helping non-clanmates
ThunderClan must come first, if I can't heal my own clanmates then what's the point? If it's possible to heal others, without using too much of our storage, then I'll happily heal those outside my clan. There needs to be a line that I don't cross, however. Even if StarClan encourages us to help one another, I don't think we can help others if we're struggling or worse, dead. Helping my clan to help others is my top priority.
Belief in StarClan
I've heard so many stories about StarClan and how they always watch over us. After all, they must've sent Firestar to save not just ThunderClan but everyone at the old territory. I don't think I heard them talk to me before, though I've had some weird dreams. That could've been because of old freshkill I ate. Either way, I think that StarClan will always help those that need it. And help can be in different ways; the courage to stand up to poor decisions, a sudden patch of catmint, or a loner who needs help. I want the stars to talk to me, to show both Lilacpetal and everyone else that I was the right choice.
Acceptance of Outsiders
ThunderClan should continue its tradition of being more lenient to outsiders. My own mother was a kittypet, before she joined. And now look. There are three more bodies in the clan, to help everyone. I do think that it's important for the new warriors to prove themself to ThunderClan, that they won't just abandon us when they got what they wanted. After all, we've survived this long with accepting outsiders, why not continue it?
Perception of other clans
RiverClan's the worst. They're a bunch of greedy, no good scoundrels who think the world of themselves. They need to be shown that ThunderClan won't take the loss of Maple Grove laying down. I pity WindClan. With so many sudden changes in their clan, I have to wonder if StarClan is angry at them. Maybe they should relax once in a while. ShadowClan makes me nervous. They've been quiet for a while and that just spells danger. I know that there's been many new leaders since Tigerstar, but something like that in power still must affect them.
Perception of their own clan
My mom made this our home. They welcomed her in, even as she was an outsider; they could've easily sent her away without another word and they didn't. I want to give back to them, to show them that letting her in was the right choice. With Tumblestar and Melondrop in command, there's nothing we can't do!
Leader Outlook
Tumblestar is incredible! She must've seen so much after working under Firestar. I want to be just like her, confident and strong, a true ThunderClan warrior. She may not believe in StarClan as much as me or Lilacpetal, but I know that our ancestors are watching over her. She's going to lead us to success, I just know it.

WINDCLAN'S BIOME
Since the shift to the sun-drown-place; WindClan opted for the area with the most exposure to the elements. Their territory is free from trees and is full of rolling meadows and hills. They are closest to the two-leg farms and hence forth it is not uncommon for chickens or other livestock to be found near or even on their territory.
Due to the introduction of tunnels under their territory, WindClan's leadership created a rank called Tunnellers and provided them with the resources to learn the ancient art of tunnelling. To find out more about this rank, see the the tunnelling guide

NIGHTSTAR

Inter-clan relationships/forbidden romances
Love is a powerful thing, and I understand that it can result in cats making foolish decisions. However, it becomes a problem when it disrupts a cat's loyalty to their clan. What happens when we face that clan in battle in the future? Seeking love outside of Windclan is not something that will be dismissed so lightly. You will be lucky if I even have the patience to hear out your story.
Willingness to form alliances
Allying with the other clans is out of the question. The risk of betrayal is much too high to risk, and there is nothing they can offer us regardless. We are doing well enough on our own.
Belief in StarClan
Once upon a time, I may have scoffed at the idea of dead cats living among the stars. Not to say I was a disbeliever, but I had never paid the idea much thought. That is, until I had my first encounter with them personally. But I do question just how much power they have over the living. I think they are not quite as all-knowing and all-powerful that some may think.
Acceptance of Outsiders
The hard life of a clan cat is not for everyone, that much is a given. Many cats are just not suited to this kind of life. As such, many cats born outside of the clans tend to be more of a liability than an asset. Many don't truly respect our ways and make no effort to understand them. That's why I believe they aren't worth the trouble.
Perception of other clans
Nothing good ever comes out of getting involved with the other clans. Alliances are easy to build, and just as easy to destroy. They will turn on their so-called "allies" without a second thought if it benefitted them. Thunderclan, especially, has caused more trouble to Windclan than any other clan.
Perception of their own clan
Windclan is not weak by any means, despite what others may think. It is true that we've had troubles in the past, but there is no reason to linger on the past. All we can do now is strive to make Windclan better each and every day. That is my hope for my clan.
"Vision" for their clan
I want to prove to everyone that Windclan is not as weak as they may think we are. We are strong, we are powerful, and we are not to be underestimated. It is also important for our bond as a clan to be as strong as it possibly clan. There is no room for doubt or disloyalty in my clan.
LONGFACE
Inter-clan relationships/forbidden romances
Strongly against. This is breaking the very code that they all stand by. While the kits are blameless in this situation, the fault lies with both the parents and should be punished accordingly. Depending on clan relations with the other parents’ clan, it could have a negative affect on it and could even lead to exile if there’s a repeat offender. The kits will be allowed to stay if they wish and are expected to become loyal members of the clan. You shouldn’t punish the souls that come into life through the sins of another; if they aren’t willing to be a part of the clan then they’ll be banished. The allowed interclan relations is a friend/rival so long as you remember the code that you two will meet in battle and your loyalty is to your clan. Not the cat in the other clan. If cats can’t keep this distinction in mind, then there will be efforts to make this clear and remind them.
Willingness to form alliances
Alliances are needed when the right conditions are met. He will not enter a long term alliance like Firestar had with Windclan in the past. If a threat arises whre he knows windclan can’t handle it alone and alliance is the only way to ensure survival? Then he’ll do it for the sake of the clan. These are meant to be short term and not frequent. Cause sometimes, cats will see this as weak or lazy and that’s not what alliances are meant to be.
Belief in StarClan
Longface has long felt Starclan to not really be there or to be something only the cats deemed worthy enough to see. So many bad things happened to him where Starclan could’ve gave him comfort or hope did nothing. Eventually the treatment of his family towards him caused him to view them less and less positively. Longface won’t stop others from believing, it’s a part of their clan and always will be.
Acceptance of Outsiders
To those that are already in the clan, they are fine unless they start to show signs of becoming a problem. Bitterntalone was once a outsider but he’s proved himself and even holds the rank of medicine cat to support this acceptance. Longface will be very unwilling to let outsiders into the clan, for medical aid or seeking to join and there’s a chance depending on how he changes that he might not be above secretly murdering one if they’re a repeat offender.. The only acceptance to this rule would be to obey the code regarding a kit in need. A kit is helpless and the ways of adults are lost on em, the code decrees that a kit should be helped and protected. So Longface will make the exception for them and only then. Outsiders that are adults/a age that they seem to be handling themself fine, should be chased immediately from the territory. Let them trouble some other clan.
Perception of other clans
You can really put full trust in the other clans, especially with everything happening. The clans all have their own leaders, their own mindsets. It’s impossible to stay on good terms for long it seems and even easier to somehow have one clan become agitated with you. While he doesn’t hate any of the current leader’s or their clans, he won’t deny that there’s a risk with them as any day now, one of em could decree war for a stupid reason. They’ve always been four clans, so there’s no reason for them to become one. Thus, you always have to be wary of them and try to keep conflit down if possible. If not, then you have to fight back. Simple.
Perception of their own clan
In truth there are many bad things going on that can be traced to the pureblood superiority complex ruling many of the minds of his clanmates. It’s played a bad role in his life from his own family. Still, Longface can’t blame his clanmates for not noticing things in full as he can’t know if they were all playing ignorant or just were unaware. You can really hold the whole against a few individuals? Right? Regardless, he still feels a bit of pride in his clan and a desire for it to survive.
"Vision" for their clan
Longface wishes for Windclan to prosper and do that there are things that need to be sorted out. The pureblood thing has gotten out of control and right now, he doesn’t know how best to help deal with it so while that stands, he’ll be focusing on keep the clan safe. The last thing that is needed is for windclan to be involved in something stupid. The fact that they lost a medicine cat on their own borders moons ago is a sign that borders might not be as secured as one hopes; granted the true cause of thus is unknown to him.
Leader Outlook
Nightstar has been through a lot but regardless, he’s remained strong to leader their clan and learn from mistakes. It’s not easy to be leader, even more so when choosing the potential leader after them. It’s hard and rough. Nightstar has done their utmost to keep the clan safe and for that, Longface respects them.

BITTERNTALON

Helping non-clanmates
Act first and ask for forgiveness later. Bitterntalon stands by that notion when it comes to healing outside his clan. He always has a motive, and now more than ever it’s to benefit himself above all else. By no means selfish, Bitterntalon is not selfless either. He makes bargains with life and death on the line and tiptoes ever so finely on that line as he makes his own past. There is always an exchange when it comes to giving and taking, and Bitterntalon takes full advantage of that system when it comes to beneficial knowledge and information. He would willingly let an outsider die should they not have anything to offer, and would also save that same outsider without a second thought if they offered him something substantial.
Belief in StarClan
They’re vague, pesky starry cats. He believes they have a way of leading them towards the future that is envisioned for the clans they brought to these lands, but he’s not a true fan of how they so vaguely lead them in that direction. He will never spite them, but he is always one to question the motives of those around him, no matter if they are ancient warrior ancestors that provide him with prophecies and omens. While his logical brain works to decipher those very visions they send, he does see StarClan as antagonistic with their position in the clans and their lack of detail with the dreams he has.
Acceptance of Outsiders
It was once that he was an outsider, but now Bitterntalon has integrated enough into the clan to not see himself as that - no matter what others say about him - and finds himself a loyal WindClan cat. Outsiders will be treated with nothing but apathy from the medicine cat, and he will not go looking for their company. Most that he’s encountered have been nothing but problematic for himself or others and he’d much rather simply avoid that. Seldom will he strike bargains with them unless it's something extremely useful for him.
Perception of other clans
Bitterntalon is one to judge. If there were to be a clan he liked the most, it would be none of them. With the recent discovery of Lambflower’s death - as well as Skywhisper’s - Bitterntalon lacks any faith in the other clans. They seemed to not think of these figures as important and if his life were to be claimed so easily then he would surely be mad with the clan that would let that happen. Due to the blame that has been shoved around and rising hostility, Bitterntalon secludes himself from the other clans and does not talk much with them.
Perception of their own clan
Hesitation comes with the prejudice he faced upon his arrival and still to this day from many. Those that often talk behind his back are ones he would scorn should he have the heart to do so. His very clan despises his presence and for the sake of spite, he gives nothing more than his full effort to heal their injured members when he is needed. There are very few friends Bitterntalon has made amongst the clan cats and he hesitates to do so with their standing prejudice against one’s bloodline that is not under their control.
Leader Outlook
Nightstar has been faced with many difficult decisions over the past couple moons and Bitterntalon does not envy him. Nightstar is one of those that Bitterntalon would consider a friend, although he knows that Fawnheart ruined outsiders completely for the black tom cat. No matter, Nightstar is a solid consistent in Bitterntalon’s life and he finds himself dedicated to upholding his loyalty to the clan for the sake of Nightstar’s sanity when it comes to those outside his clan, and for the fact he considers the leader as a friend.
MIDGEPAW
Helping non-clanmates
Midgepaw doesn’t show any hostility towards anyone. If some cat’s life is in danger, she will save it. She acts first then begs for forgiveness later, similar to her mentor, Bittertalon. No one deserves to be in pain when Midgepaw herself can ease it. StarClan gave her a gift and she will not let it be wasted.
Belief in StarClan
Midgepaw was raised to believe deeply in StarClan, however StarClan has never been exactly in her corner. She wishes to experience their unworldly presence and love one day. Yet she doesn’t consider them deities in anyway, they were once cats like her who lived and walked the ground she does. She hopes they will guide her well and let her save lives just as well.
Acceptance of Outsiders
While her clan raised her to be wary of outsiders, Midgepaw has never shown any hate towards outsiders. They are just cats, like them, trying to survive in the wild. While she won’t let them get away with everything, if her clan is full of prey and that loner is starving and caught a rabbit on her territory she will allow them to keep it, if of course only she saw it.
Perception of other clans
They are just like her, but living in different lives. She hopes that war can be avoided on all sides, as it benefits no one, or at least to her. Yet she holds them to make choices that help everyone. She holds no grudges.
Perception of their own clan
Midgepaw likes WindClan, while it is the only place she has ever known, Midgepaw does find flaws with it. Which is one of the reasons she sticks to herself, and likes to daydream.
Leader Outlook
Midgepaw is very afraid of Nightstar to say the least. He causes her to be quite weary of her surroundings, in a way that she can’t describe. Maybe it’s his looming nature, or his grumpy demeanor? Yet she feels that his leadership and views are quite hateful and negative. She wished he could be more open like his deputy, because she fears Nightstar is a cat who does not forgive. Hopefully with time Midgepaw will understand and learn that you can’t trust everyone.

The story of the Wind: Created By - Intrique
Myth | All clans
"It begins long ago, when felines first began going to Starclan.
The Sun & The Moon: Created By - Roxanne

WILDERNESS'S BIOME
The realm beyond the borders of the clans are dangerous and almost worrisome to any who are not used to it's wonders. The Wilderness, for better lack of words, is vast and contains plenty of forest, swamp and moorland then one could desire. To the north-east of the clans lay a two-leg town, where a single wooden fence keeps the two worlds divided. Strays, of the feline and canine varity, struggle to survive the dirty side-streets.

STARCLAN CHARACTERS
StarClan are the deceased ancestors, descendants, and Clanmates of the Clan cats. Cats are only allowed to join StarClan when they die if they have lived an honorable life and followed the warrior code. When a Clan cat dies, they will be guided to StarClan by a deceased cat who played an important part in their life, such as a mentor or a cherished family member. When a cat dies and goes to join StarClan, they merely close their eyes and reopen them. When a leader loses a life, that life appears in StarClan as a very faint copy of the leader, but they are unable to communicate in any way to other StarClan cats until the leader loses their final life.
StarClan cats leave starry paw prints, their eyes shine like stars, and their pelts glow with a strange light that makes them look like they have stars in their fur. Their pelts shine like ice and carry all the scents of the seasons: the tang of leaf-bare, the green scent of greenleaf, the musk of leaf-fall, and the sweet blossom of newleaf. Cats in StarClan are always restored to the age of which they were happiest, and they do not age.
On DEORUM, you can purchase an item which allows your deceased StarClan cat to be playable in our living world. These cats do not stand apart from other deceased StarClan cats but are merely designed for further character development and plotting.
Users with active StarClan cats can get involved in threads with the living, as well as deliver dreams, prophecies, warnings, or omens. It is said they are like guardians of the living, although they have no real control over what happens in the living world.

THE CLOUDED CLAWS
The Clouded Claws are an unofficial rogue clan, formed by Antlercloud in 09 Greenleaf.
Condorstar tried to be transparent with Antlercloud and refute some of his claims. But, from the leader’s perspective – his attempts seemed futile as it was evident that Antlercloud wanted to grab at power regardless of what he did or did not say.
Whilst the civil war within ShadowClan began, The Feral Fangs pushed at ShadowClan’s borders – as per Antlercloud’s instructions with the Feral Fang leader, Prim.
Many ShadowClan warriors lost their lives during the rebellion, some including but not limited to: Skunkshade [killed by Antlercloud], Acornheart [killed by Nightingalefur], Skinktail [killed by Salamanderclaw], as well as a couple of Antlercloud supporters: Nightingalefur [killed by Condorstar], Salamanderclaw [killed by Bisontooth]. The ShadowClan Nursery was also breached as per Antlercloud’s command, with Scorchkit being injured by Ratwhisker.
After an extensive battle, Antlercloud and his group were seeing far too many losses and pulled back to the edge of ShadowClan border. From there, the group settled across the water near RiverClan and formed their own unofficial clan called The Clouded Claws. They then recruited the few remaining Feral Fangs among their ranks.
The Council meets regularly to discuss and vote on motions that can be proposed by any member of the group. All members are permitted to speak at these meetings, should they wish, but only the Council Members and Leader may vote.
Each Councillor is assigned to a role and takes charge of overseeing that role.
HEALERS: Prim
HUNTERS: Calla Lily
CAMP TENDERS: TBD
TRAINEES AND MENTORS: Camelliarose
Healers are exactly what the name suggests. They handle the herbcraft and care for the group. Antler also wants these cats to be familiar with poisons and less savoury remedies. Just in case.
Camp Tenders are a varied group. They take care of the defenses of the camp, maintaining dens and the constructed thorn wall. Moreover, they act as guards, and are often shockingly good fighters. Finally, they tend to be highly trusted by Antlercloud, and act as his eyes and ears in the group.
Hunters are generalists. They patrol, hunt, and fight, but are also expected to assist the other roles when needed. Cats may become Hunters, then later decide to specialize.
Trainees are the equivalant of apprentices. While kits are not given mentors until 6 moons, parents are expected to have taught their kits the very basics of hunting, tracking, and self-defence by the time they are made trainees. If the parent or parents are not confident in their ability to do this, they may ask for assistance from others in the group.
FORMATION
The origins of the rogue group stem from the rebellion that took place in ShadowClan. Antlercloud and a pawful of others decided that they no longer had faith in Condorstar and Myrtlesky and challenged the duo.Condorstar tried to be transparent with Antlercloud and refute some of his claims. But, from the leader’s perspective – his attempts seemed futile as it was evident that Antlercloud wanted to grab at power regardless of what he did or did not say.

THE COUNCIL
Unlike the Clans, Antlercloud wished to create the appearance that he is not an absolute authoritarian like the Clan leaders. To compensate, he has created the Council, on which he has nominated four Councillors. Antlercloud and The Council work together to run the group day to day, and to create the rules for the group. The Council meets regularly to discuss and vote on motions that can be proposed by any member of the group. All members are permitted to speak at these meetings, should they wish, but only the Council Members and Leader may vote.

THE ROLES
The Clouded Claws divide cats into several roles. Each role handles a different aspect of group life, however all cats are expected to be able to hunt and defend themselves.Healers are exactly what the name suggests. They handle the herbcraft and care for the group. Antler also wants these cats to be familiar with poisons and less savoury remedies. Just in case.

dice mechanics
LAST UPDATED: 26/03/2022 BY ASLEEP
The die rolling mechanics here at Deorum are fairly simple.
We employ a bot called STARCLAN, to help with the die rolls. The die rolls are designed to add an element of risk and uncertainty to roleplay, rather than having everything predicted or pre-planned.
These die rolls are ENTIRELY OPTIONAL and are not required when writing threads. Some events may require die rolls for a more immersive effect, but these will be communicated with members beforehand. We do however ask that you DO NOT mix die rolls and non-die roll threads. This can create an unfair situation for others. Please be clear with combat, hunting and herb gathering threads as to whether die rolls will be used or whether things will be pre-determined by the roleplayers.
Deorum uses a d20 based system (meaning you roll a 20-sided dice and add/remove modifiers or variables to suit the requirements of the roll). All die rolls can be found in the #die-roll channel in the discord. If you do have any questions or require any assistance, feel free to reach out to the staff team.
Again, this system is COMPLETELY OPTIONAL. If you would like to use the die roll bot for simple rolls or decision making, go ahead! This system was designed for members who simply enjoy adding a die roll to their roleplay for greater unpredictability.

ITEMS
There are some ITEMS that can be purchased to enhance character's chance at succeeding certain die rolls. These can be found under ENHANCEMENTS under the grub store (bottom left corner).
Partial Telepathy
This is an item that requires mandatory die rolls.
The die rolls introduce a chance of failing, so that the item itself is not overpowered.
Every time a character wishes to use their partial telepathy, they must roll a d20 in the #die-rolls channel in the discord. The result of the die roll will determine how much the character with telepathy can understand.
0-6 hear nothing
7-13 sense they are being talked about, hear their name or catch the ending of the thought.
14-20 catches the full thought, the emotion that's felt with it etc.

hunting
LAST UPDATED: 13/08/2021 BY PERCEPTION
There are a couple of variables (such as age and season) that come into play when hunting. These variables will make it easier/harder for your character to succeed in a successful hunt.
Hunting is made up of two main parts. Tracking and catching. To catch the prey, you need to have a successful track. You can’t catch the prey if you haven’t identified what it is!

BASIC RULES
CHECK LIMIT
One track one catch check per roleplay post.NON-WARRIORS' HINDRANCES
If you do not play a warrior cat i.e. medicine cat, medicine cat apprentice, kittypet, rogue, etc.), then it makes sense that it is harder to successfully hunt.If you have a character that falls into this category, you will have to use the age modifier in the group BELOW their actual age when rolling. The exception to this is elders; elders that fall into this category have -1 rather than +0.

REPUTATION
If your character has high reputation (75-100) within their clan, you can add rank bonuses to specific die rolls.Leaders: +4 to all attacking, defending, tracking and catching die rolls.
Deputies: +3 to all attacking, defending, tracking and catching die rolls.
Medicine Cats: +3 to all herb tracking and herb quality die rolls.
Warriors/Queens: +2 to all attacking, defending, tracking and catching die rolls.

TRACKING YOUR PREY
When out hunting, you roll a tracking die to search for available prey.
There are two variables that are taken into account when you roll the die located in #DIE ROLLS, the first is the age variable and the second is seasonal difficulty. Once those two are established in the code you send, you can add any enhancements that you have purchased.
This means you are required to roll a 12 or more to have successfully TRACKED some prey.

PREY TYPE & DIFFICULTY
Once you have successfully tracked a piece of prey, you are then required to roll a die to figure out what type of prey it is. Below, we have a varity of different prey based on the territory.
You will first need to select your clan. If you are a Riverclan feline, you need to determine if you are fishing or hunting land creatures. Once this is done, you will proceed to #DIE-ROLLS and put in the following code. DO NOT include any enhancements or variables.

CATCHING PREY
After successfully tracking the prey you have just determined, it is time for you to attempt to catch it! We allow you to use the same formula that you used to track the prey - to now catch the prey. However, once you have established your number you must check to see if it is higher or lower then your prey's number!
If you have a HIGHER number then your prey does difficulty, then you will have successfully caught the prey! If it is the same or lower then you will have missed.
The formula you will be using to catch your prey is;
Please review above for the difficulty levels for the prey you have rolled for!
If you have a HIGHER number then your prey does difficulty, then you will have successfully caught the prey! If it is the same or lower then you will have missed.
The formula you will be using to catch your prey is;
!1d20 +/- age variable or health variable +/- seasonal difficulty + enhancements + reputation vs prey difficulty
Please review above for the difficulty levels for the prey you have rolled for!
AN EXAMPLE
Mosquitobite is a 25 moon old Thunderclan warrior. He is currently hunting in GreenLeaf and has no shop enhancements.
In #DIE-ROLLS his role-player uses the following method to determine if he can track anything.
!1d20 + 1 + 1
The number that appears is 15, so we add the 1 manually from the age and seasonal variables to get 17. This means that Mosquitobite has successfully tracked something!
Because Mosquitobite is a Thunderclan Warrior, he has to roll to figure out which piece of prey he has tracked.
!1d20
The number that appears is 5. According to the prey list for Thunderclan this means that Mosquitobite has successfully tracked a vole.
Voles are small land prey and have a vaule of 10 difficulty. They are one of the easiest prey to catch in the forest. Mosquitobite then rolls to see if he had get an 11 or higher to catch the prey.
!1d20 + 1 + 1
Mosquitobite rolls a 5, and when adding the variables that equal 2, his total catch number becomes 7. Because voles have a difficulity of 10, Mosquitobite misses his catch, because 7 is less then 10.
In #DIE-ROLLS his role-player uses the following method to determine if he can track anything.

There are a couple of variables (such as age and shop items) that come into play when participating in a combat thread. These variables will make it easier/harder for your character to succeed in a combat thread.
BASIC RULES
POST LIMIT
One attack and one defend per roleplay post.NON-WARRIORS' HINDRANCES
If you do not play a warrior cat (i.e. medicine cat, medicine cat apprentice, kittypet, rogue, etc.), then it makes sense that it is harder to win in a combat fight against a warrior cat.If you have a character that falls into this category, you will have to use the age modifier in the group BELOW their actual age when rolling. The exception to this is elders; elders that fall into this category have -1 rather than +0.
INJURED/DISABLED CHARACTERS
Characters with injuries or disabilities will need to refer to Characters with fair or poor health will use the modifiers from the health guide as opposed to age modifiers.VICTORY
Three successful hits means victory! While Deorum doesn’t approve of ‘god-modding’, these rolls are determined by die and therefore have very little player influence. This means all attacks done by the die roll mechanic are direct hits.
These direct hits are never lethal or majorly debilitating though unless both players agree. Please keep this in mind when typing out your roleplay post (avoid phrases that indicate the attack could be lethal).
VARIABLES AND ENCHANCEMENTS
AGE
00-05 Moons (kitten) -306-09 Moons (young apprentice) -2
10-12 Moons (experienced apprentice) -1
13-25 Moons (young warrior) +1
26-50 Moons (warrior) +2
51-80 Moons (experienced warrior) + 4
81-100 Moons (senior warrior) +5
101+ Moons (elder) 0
ENHANCEMENTS
Fate who attacks firstNinja like Reflexes +2 to defense
Run like the Wind +2 to attack
Agility +4 to defense
Enhanced Strength +4 to attack
HEALTH
If your character has poor (10-40%) or fair (41-70%) health - they will use the negative modifers as per the health guide instead of age modifiers.Excellent health (90 - 100%) No modifers.
Good health (71 - 90%) No modifers.
Fair health (41-70%) - 4
Poor health (10-40%) -6
Apprentices: +1 to all attacking, defending, tracking and catching die rolls.
ATTACKING YOUR OPPONENT
When the chance arises and you have to engage in combat, you can not be certain your character will hit the other character. There are always chances that your character may somehow misguide their steps, or underestimate the distance. Perhaps the enemy is just simply too quick for your character and slips from your paws.
When rolling for an attack, you must be aware that if your attack is the same or lower then the player's defense, your attack misses.

DEFENDING AGAINST YOUR OPPONENT
When war rages and you are under attack, you can never be certain if you will avoid every hit. Sometimes you are simply to slow, or sometimes you are quicker then their claws. This roll will determine the strength of your character's defense.

Once you get your defense number you will compare it to your opponent's attack. If your defense if HIGHER then you have successfully defend.
However, you are not done quite yet!
Once you have rolled for your defense you need to attack back, and that brings this circle right around!

AN EXAMPLE
Olivespeck is a medicine cat who has decided to help their clan fight off the venonmous Riverclan that is currently invading. They are 40 moons old and has some shop items to help her in a fight. Her opponent is Storkbird, a 14 moon old warrior who has no shop items.
Olivespeck has enhanced speed (run like the wind), so she goes first. She uses the following code,
!1d20 + 2
The number that appears in #DIE-ROLLS is 5. We manually add the 2 to this number and the total becomes 7
Storkbird works out his defense next, to see if he can dodge the attack. He uses the following code and gets a 9, and after manually adding the 1, the total comes to 10
!1d20 + 1
His defense is 10, and Olivespeck's attack is 7. This means that Stockbird has successfully defended against the attack. He then proceeds to attack back.
!1d20 + 1
His attack shows a 11, but with this manually added 1 it comes to 12. Olivespeck then goes to defend and rolls a 4, plus after adding the manual 2 for their age, they get a grand total of 6 for defense.
Because Olivespeck's defense is lower then Stockbird's attack, Olivespeck receives a direct hit.
With that, the owner of Olivespeck can decide how badly they are hurt by this attack. It can not be fatal or major unless both players agree.
The only way for the battle to end is for both cats to agree to a tie/truce or one of them must land three direct hits.

herb gathering
LAST UPDATED: 13/08/2021 BY PERCEPTION
There are a couple of variables (such as age and season) that come into play when herb hunting and gathering. These variables will make it easier/harder for your character to succeed in a successful herb hunt.
Herb hunting/gathering is made up of two main parts. Tracking and quality. Tracking helps you locate the herbs, while quality helps you determine how much of the herb you find and in what kind of condition.

BASIC RULES
CHECK LIMIT
One track one quality check per roleplay post. If you track herbs and are successful, you must wait until your next post to pick the herbs and check the quality of it. If you were unsuccessful, you must wait until your next turn to try again.NON-HEALERS' HINDRANCES
If you do not play a medicine (i.e. warrior, deputy, leader, kittypet, rogue, etc.), then it makes sense that it is harder to successfully gather herbs. If you have a character that falls into this category, you will have to use the age modifier in the group BELOW their actual age when rolling. The exception to this is elders; elders that fall into this category have -1 rather than +0.INJURED/DISABLED CHARACTERS
Characters with injuries or disabilities will need to refer to Characters with fair or poor health will use the modifers from the health guide as opposed to age modifers.VARIABLES AND ENCHANCEMENTS

Apprentices: +1 to all attacking, defending, tracking and catching die rolls.
TRACKING HERBS
When out looking for herbs, you roll a tracking to search for nearby herbs.
There are two variables that are taken into account when you roll the die located in #DIE ROLLS, the first is the age variable and the second is seasonal difficulty. Once those two are established in the code you send, you can add any enhancements that you have purchased.
This means you are required to roll a 12+ to have successfully TRACKED some herbs.
You can find this out by reviewing the ultimate medicine cat guide and comparing it against the current season on DEORUM (located in the navigation banner)
Some substances like cobwebs, honey and sticks are not 'grown' per say. and can be sourced generally around the forest. Some herbs, it is unknown when they are best grown. These herbs fall under misc. (like sticks, honey and cobwebs).

QUALITY
Once you have found the herbs, you can roll a 20-sided die to determine the quality of the herb. The higher the roll, the better the quality / the more that is found. The lower the roll, the lesser the quality / amount that is found.
0 – 5 ➥ The quality of the herb is very poor. Most of the leaves/petals are missing. It likely won’t work for a remedy.
6 – 9 ➥ The herb has seen better days. It is tattered and half of it could be used for a remedy.
10 – 12 ➥ The herb is in average quality. This will work for a remedy.
13 – 16 ➥ The herb is in good quality.
17 – 18 ➥ A small bush/patch of the herbs can be found. They are growing well and look pristine!
19-20 ➥ The herb is in great condition, and what’s that? You find a large patch of the herbs growing wildly and well. You won’t need more of this herb for a while.

AN EXAMPLE
Mousewhisker is a senior medicine cat. She is 65 moons old and it is leaf-bare. She is currently searching for some sticks. She has a store bonus that grants her +2 to herb tracking.
She starts off on her journey. She uses the following code,
!1d20+4+1
!1d20 + 4 (age), +1 (seasonality; sticks)
The number that appears in #DIE-ROLLS is 10. We manually add the 2 (from her enhancement) to this number and the total becomes 12.
Only 12+ is required to successfully track herbs. So Mousewhisker has successfully tracked the herb she is after. Note: You can select which herb your character is hunting for; unlike in hunting threads where a die roll determines it.
Now that Mousewhisker has successfully spotted some sticks, it's time to roll a quality check. She uses the following code,
!1d20+4
!1d20 + 4 (age)
The number that appears in #DIE-ROLLS is 16. We manually add the 2 (from her enhancement) to this number and the total becomes 12.
On the herb quality table, a 16 indicates that the herb is in good quality. Mousewhisker has found 1x stick, but it is in good quality.

character health
LAST UPDATED: 13/08/2021 BY PERCEPTION
WHAT IS HEALTH?
Health is a very important factor when it comes to fights and hunting as well as general roleplaying! If your character isn't in peak physical condition, they will struggle to maintain themselves in a fight and on a hunt.
You can use the information below to determine what category of health your character falls into.
Please note: You can manually adjust your character's health in your profiles. If your character is injured, you will need to adjust their health accordingly.

RECOVERING HEALTH
If you receive a wound or injury while hunting or fighting, you need to visit the medicine cat in order to begin recovery. If the injury is not tended to, it may become worse - i.e infected.
There is no minimum or maximum amount of IC responses between the medicine cat and their patient, but characters with moderate/severe injuries will likely be required to have a cool-down period to recover. This period is determined in character by the medicine cat in charge of healing said injury. Injuries can stack and cats can become impaired by multiple severe wounds if they are not careful. If treatment is not administered or if a wound is very severe, StarClan may curse the injured character with a greater implication - infection, sepsis, inflammation, tissue damage, etc.
For outsiders that cannot access a medicine cat - they have an increased risk of greater implications. They will also have a longer cool-down period where they are 'recovering' than they otherwise would through the assistance of medicine cats. Small scrapes, shallow wounds, mild lacerations, cuts, punctures will take 4 real life days to heal. While deeper wounds and more moderate injuries like concussions and sprains will take two real life weeks. Severe wounds and injuries like broken bones, fatal illnesses and the likes will take one real life month.

HEALTH CATEGORIES
EXCELLENT HEALTH (90 - 100%)
* Characters that belong to clans, or have previously left their clan have excellent health.* Characters in peak physical condition with few - none cuts, scrapes or wounds that affect the ability/functionality of the character.
* Instant disqualifications for excellent health: missing limbs, partial/full loss of a sense, mental disorders, life-threatening illnesses/diseases, broken bones that did not set properly.
GOOD HEALTH (71 - 90%)
* Outsiders who know how to catch their own prey and/or are with a group or gang.* Characters that have just recently received light injuries like mild lacerations, cuts, punctures (thorn in paw), etc.
* Characters that suffer from a mental disability that doesn't hinder their functionality as a person taking care of their basic needs: sleeping, eating, and drinking.
* Are a blind rogue who has a traveling companion that mentions they are taking care of them.
* Characters that have a treatable/curable illness or disease and are being treated by another character.
* Instant disqualification for good health: missing limbs, partial/full loss of a sense, mental disorders, broken bones that did not set properly, life-threatening illnesses/diseases.
FAIR HEALTH (41-70%)
* Outsiders who cannot catch their own prey and are not with a group or gang.* Characters that have recently received a moderate injury such as mild/moderate laceration, concussions, sprains, dislocated joints, venomous stings/bites.
* Characters with life-threatening illnesses/diseases, however, don't have a traveling companion to take care of them.
* A blind rogue character that doesn't have the help of a traveling companion.
* A character that is an outsider and has a healed injury that affects their functionality as a character - example - bones that didn't set properly or partial/full loss of a sense or loss of a limb.
* Female characters who suffered from pregnancy/birthing complications.
Characters with fair health recieve a negative modifer to all die rolls until properly healed. The negative modifer replaces the age modifer and is -4
POOR HEALTH (10-40%)
* Characters that have recently suffered from a severe injury: broken bones, fatal illness/disease, venomous bites/stings, severe concussions, amnesia, or full loss of a sense.* Characters that suffer from an untreated mental disorder that prevents them from properly functioning and taking care of their basic needs.
* Characters born with a disabling mutation: heart disease, weak immune system or severe asthma.
Characters with poor health recieve a negative modifer to all die rolls until properly healed. The negative modifer replaces the age modifer and is -6
Please be warned that 0% health is defined as unconscious, and near death.
what is reputation?
LAST UPDATED: 13/08/2021 BY PERCEPTION
WHAT IS REPUTATION?
Reputation within a clan can make or break a good warrior. Within a clan; it refers to how prestigious a cat is, how well-known, and how competent they are in their role - i.e, cats with high reputation are more likely to be considered for special assignments and deemed 'more trustworthy' by the leadership team. Their names may even be known to other clan cats.
For outsiders, it refers to how well known they are within their own community and even the clans. It also reflects their competence and ability to survive the harsh surroundings.
Every clan cat starts with AVERAGE reputation (50), unless otherwise stated by the leader of the clan.
Outsiders also start with average (50) reputation. Leaders are the exception and start with 100 reputation.
Reputation can increase/decrease as events unfold, and it is based on a low (0-45), average (45-74), high scale (75-100).
If a cat has a low reputation, it could be because that character has been a little inactive in threads and has not socialized, or it could be because of perceived negative actions - i.e running around lying, causing trouble, breaking the warrior code, etc.
Average reputation could be shown by demonstrating an active and reasonable amount of participation within clan life as well as character bonding and trustworthiness.
Please note: Different clans and leaders will view different traits and ideals to be of importance. Cats can climb ranks and obtain high reputation through immoral means - whether that be through deception or other methods. Biased rank progression is possible and so is immoral rank progression.
The list of activities that increase reputation can be found by clicking the section of the Guidebook.

How do I increase/decrease a character’s reputation?
Reputation is determined by completing or failing duties/missions, plots that have positive/negative consequences, and the clan leader themselves. As expected, the higher one’s reputation is - the better they are at various skills and the more likely they are to be chosen for certain missions, activities and plots.Reputation can increase/decrease as events unfold, and it is based on a low (0-45), average (45-74), high scale (75-100).

ROLLING BONUSES
Die rolling is pretty common here on Deorum, but it is NOT mandatory.
Characters with high reputations are however seen to be a little more “prestigious” than those with low reputations. As a result, there are bonuses that can be earned through attaining a high reputation.
These bonuses are added after you do the die roll, just like enhancements. You ONLY get the bonuses if you have high reputation (75%+)!
Deputies: +3 to all attacking, defending, tracking and catching die rolls.
Medicine Cats: +3 to all herb tracking and herb quality die rolls.
Warriors/Queens/Rogues +2 to all attacking, defending, tracking and catching die rolls.
Apprentices: +1 to all attacking, defending, tracking and catching die rolls.
Note: Due to the nature of kittypets against rogues and standard warriors, kittypets cannot earn reputation.

ACHIVEMENTS
Throughout roleplaying on DEORUM, various events or activities may happen IC or in OOC. Some of these activities and events may be redeemable for an achievement.
Every time you collect an achievement, you earn not only a new shiny achievement to your profile… But also grubs! The amount of grubs is shown in brackets beside the achievement.
Please note: Some of the achievements are character specific and others are member specific.
Character specific: multiple characters can earn the same character specific achievements – i.e.; train an apprentice (each warrior character you have, can earn this. Some warriors could even earn this multiple times too).
Member specific: these are ones that you can only earn on your OOC; everyone can collect them, but they have no relation to the characters, i.e. referring friends.
Limited Time Offers: These are events that are clan, or site related that you may claim once per character. You can not redeem them more then once on the same character.
If you happen to have collected the same achievement multiple times, you can cash a duplicate in for grub. A duplicate is worth 20 grubs.
